Practice Flirting!
by Gloria Liven
If you want to be better at flirting, then practice!

So what do you do if you always get nervous around a guy or girl you like? Or if you just want to be better at flirting? The simple way to get better is by practicing!

But don't practice on the people you actually like; To prevent getting nervous if you're new at it, practice flirting with random people you don't know! Flirting is fun and harmless and can make both you and the person you're flirting with feel good!

Here are some tips to practice flirting:

Smile
A smile will make you more attractive, make you feel happy and confident, and make others around you feel confident too! Smile at people you don't know.

Make Eye Contact
When you speak, make eye contact. Or practice making eye contact and smiling flirtatiously at strangers as you walk down the street!

Be Confident
Tell yourself "I'm really confident and sexy". And when you flirt with people, you'll project this confident attitude.

Be Playful
Being funny, playful, and lighthearded makes flirting more fun. You could tease lightly or make funny comments about the conversation topic.

Practice Saying "Hi"
Say "Hi, how are you?" to a complete stranger. It gets you used to breaking the ice with strangers and will make it easier to flirt with people you already know! And if you mess up or feel embarassed, no harm done-- you won't see them again anyway.

Complement Strangers
This gets you used to confidently talking to people you don't know. Say, "Wow, that's a nice sweater" or "Cool necklace", or "What a cute dog!"

Ask Questions
If you're having a conversation, practice asking questions that show you're listening.

Find out their Name
If you don't know their name, ask "What was your name? I'm ***"

End on a good note
When you meet someone new, or have a conversation with a stranger, you can end by saying something nice to them instead of just "bye"-- "It was nice talking to you and good luck in your classes, Susan", or "Maybe I'll see you around again, Kevin". Using their name when you close shows that you remembered.
